ON CREATIVE BLOCKS

Most creative blocks aren’t about skill.

They’re about fear.

Fear that the work won’t be good enough.

Fear that it will be — and no one will care.

Fear that starting means committing. And commitment terrifies you.

So you call it a block.

It sounds innocent. External.
Mythical but inevitable.

But if you’re being real, it’s nothing more than a petty excuse for your emotional resistance.

You’re not stuck — you’re scared.

And fear comes in a thousand differnt flavors.

Perfectionism.
Endless research.
Imposter syndrome.
Tinkering with the logo when you haven’t even thought about the pitch.

Guess what?

The fear doesn’t go away when you wait.
It finds better hiding spots.

And the longer you wait, the scarier the work becomes.

So say it.
Say it out loud:

“I’m afraid.”

Of being seen.
Of wasting time.
Of being mediocre.
Of getting it wrong.

And sit down and do it anyway.

Scared. Unready. Wide open.

Silly.

Because the work doesn’t need your confidence.

It just needs you to show up.

Wanna know what I do when I'm terrified to start?

I have a Creative Emergency Kit. Five techniques I've tested when I’m at war with my fears.

They're brutal. They work. And they require zero confidence and zero talent.

Just a willingness to suck.

Or you can refer a couple homies and I'll send it to you for free.

A camera that makes poems

A camera that makes poems

With the AI explosion I’ve obviously been obsessing over the intersection of art and technology. Last week, I came across a camera that creates poetry.

This system processes visual input through an image captioning algorithm, then feeds these descriptions into a Claude model trained on poetry.

The result? A unique form of artistic expression that merges human creativity with AI.

This short video illustrates how machines can produce unexpected and sometimes profound creative works, challenging our understanding of authorship and creativity in this new digital era.
